Week 6 Progress: UI Finalization and Crawler Research Initiatives

Week 6, spanning March 17–21, focused on wrapping up UI refinements and launching a research initiative into web crawlers to support future automation goals. On Monday, we finalized the design of the franchise table, focusing on improved data organization and visual clarity. Adjustments were made to spacing, alignment, and overall styling to ensure consistency with other UI components. These enhancements significantly improved readability and user interaction, and the task was completed smoothly without any blockers.

Tuesday involved completing all outstanding revisions provided by Sir Mark. These included both UI refinements and functional improvements. Each point of feedback was carefully reviewed, addressed, and validated against expected standards. The revision process was efficient, and no blockers or delays were experienced.

On Wednesday, efforts shifted to research, with a focus on understanding web crawlers—specifically their architecture, behavior, and potential application to franchise data aggregation. This phase was purely theoretical and exploratory, with documentation created to support future implementation planning. No blockers emerged during this phase of research.

Thursday continued the crawler research, diving deeper into different crawling strategies, relevant data structures, and suitable frameworks for integration into our existing stack. Emphasis was placed on ethical data collection practices and optimizing for efficiency and scalability. The research phase progressed steadily with no issues encountered.

The week concluded on Friday with the completion of crawler research and the beginning of a presentation outlining findings and a proposed implementation strategy. This presentation is being prepared for a Monday briefing to align the team around development goals and technical feasibility. All preparatory work was completed successfully, marking a productive end to the week.
