Week 5 Progress: PWA Integration and Performance Optimization

During the week of March 10–14, development efforts centered on optimizing performance and extending Progressive Web App (PWA) capabilities across key areas of the platform. On Monday, we successfully integrated PWA functionality into the Brandlist page. This upgrade enhances the user experience by allowing the page to function more like a native app, offering improved performance and offline access. The implementation process was smooth and completed without any blockers.

On Tuesday, we extended PWA support to the “Who We Are” page. The focus was on improving loading behavior and ensuring consistent offline accessibility through well-configured service workers and caching strategies. The enhancements resulted in improved page reliability, and development proceeded efficiently without any issues.

Wednesday’s work involved implementing PWA features in the site's header and footer. These updates contribute to a more consistent and reliable offline experience throughout the application’s core shell. The changes were thoroughly tested for responsiveness and performance, completing the PWA integration across key interface components with no blockers encountered.

On Thursday, we refactored the Brandlist component, transitioning it from Vue.js to static HTML. This change streamlines performance and simplifies rendering while aligning with our updated frontend development strategy. The rewrite was direct and effective, and no obstacles were encountered during the process.

To close out the week on Friday, we redesigned the Brandlist table layout using real data. The new design improves readability, visual structure, and alignment with the backend schema. Styling adjustments focused on clarity and responsiveness, resulting in a more user-friendly and professional data display. The task was completed successfully and without blockers, capping off a productive week of enhancements.
