Week 3 Progress: Data Integration, UI Fixes, and Form Development
Week 3, spanning February 24–28, focused on continuing interface development, refining backend interactions, and preparing content for upcoming features. On Monday, we finalized the implementation of the “View Individual Page” and began designing the “Our Collection Method” section. However, we encountered a blocker when data integration broke the layout, requiring a rework of the structure and rendering logic. While this caused a slight delay, the issue was promptly addressed to keep the new design work on track.
Tuesday was dedicated to assisting with data encoding tasks to support the franchise list. This behind-the-scenes effort was essential for ensuring that accurate and well-formatted content would appear across both the individual franchise pages and the main listings. With no blockers and a well-coordinated team effort, the workload was effectively distributed to maintain quality and consistency.
On Wednesday, data encoding continued, with 10 additional franchise datasets processed. Alongside this, work began on the “Submit a Brand” page, with the initial layout and base components set up. The goal of this page is to allow prospective partners to submit brand details via a structured and validated form. No issues were encountered during this phase of development.
Thursday's efforts were aimed at resolving logic and UI issues with the filter functionality on the franchise brand list page. The updated filter system now works efficiently, delivering accurate results and improving the search and discovery experience for users. The fixes aligned the behavior with expected user interactions, and no blockers were experienced.
We closed out the week on Friday by refining the “Submit a Brand” page. Key input fields were added, along with terms and conditions and privacy policy sections to ensure compliance and usability. Layout consistency was improved to offer a better overall user experience. With these enhancements, the form is now nearly ready for testing and deployment.
