Week 11 Progress: Expanding AI Access and Refining Franchise Details


    During Week 11, April 21–25, the focus was on enhancing AI accessibility and refining the franchise details section. On Monday, efforts centered on making the Ollama local server accessible online by configuring network settings and testing external access. Additionally, improvements were made to the franchise details news and reviews layout for better consistency and responsiveness. A brief power interruption caused some delay but did not halt progress entirely.

    Tuesday was dedicated to further refining the franchise details section, enhancing dynamic content loading, optimizing CSS for faster performance, and improving accessibility with semantic HTML. Team feedback was incorporated smoothly, and the implementation proceeded without blockers.

    Midweek, attention shifted back to exposing the local AI server to the internet. This involved configuring port forwarding, firewall settings, and testing reverse proxy solutions. Research on secure deployment strategies was undertaken alongside multiple test runs to ensure reliability, with no blockers encountered.

    Thursday continued this work, troubleshooting network inconsistencies and exploring cloud-based tunneling options to stabilize external access. Documentation was updated to support future maintenance, and steady incremental progress was made without major challenges.

    The week concluded with focused development on self-hosted AI solutions, including model integration and performance optimization. Efforts were made to enhance scalability by optimizing resource usage and verifying inference consistency. Documentation reviews ensured alignment with overall technical goals. The work advanced steadily, finishing without significant issues.

       During the week of February 17–21, our focus shifted toward deeper integration and the buildout of key front-facing pages. On Monday, we successfully connected the backend and frontend components in collaboration with Raymond Vianzon. This integration established seamless data flow and interaction logic throughout the application, enabling dynamic features that will support user-driven actions across multiple pages.
